The next agenda on the itinerary was a presentation on Engineering Games 2002, given by the Executive Director of EG 2002, Sdr. Yau Chau Fong. The Engineering Games, first suggested at the inaugural Inter-Varsity Gathering 2001, is co-organized by the IEM G&S and students from the engineering societies in UPM, UNITEN and MMU Cyberjaya. The Games will take place on 25 – 27 October 2002, at venues within all three host universities. During the presentation, the student representatives were asked to recruit participants from their universities, for games such as soccer, badminton, basketball, tennis, squash, table tennis, chess, netball and street soccer. Registration forms were given out, which would have to be completed by the participants representing their universities.
The final event before the official photo-taking session was the submission of tender for the host of EG 2003. Andy Chiew from PKUM explained to the students the merits of awarding the host to UM, detailing the facilities and equipment present in UM. The conference later agreed that UM would be the host of the next Engineering Games. After a short photo-taking session, the conference ended at 6.00pm.
